Training stays on your device
Your programmes, logged workouts, testing information and other training records are primarily stored locally within the Credo app on your device.
PRIVACY POLICY
Credo is designed to keep your training information on your device wherever possible. This Privacy Policy explains what information Credo uses, when information may leave your device, and how it is protected.

OUR APPROACH
Credo is not yet publicly available. This website introduces the planned app. The app sections below describe its current design and will be reviewed before public release. Visiting this website does not create a Credo account or submit workout information to AI Coach. If you email us, we receive the information you choose to send so we can respond.
Credo Sports is built around data minimisation. Training information is primarily stored locally on your device and is used to provide the features you choose to use. We do not sell your personal information and we do not use it for third-party behavioural advertising.
LOCAL FIRST
Your programmes, logged workouts, testing information and other training records are primarily stored locally within the Credo app on your device.
PURPOSE
Information is used only where needed to provide Credo features, deliver AI-supported coaching, provide support, process subscriptions or maintain the service.
CONTROL
You control the information you enter into Credo. Local training information can be changed or removed through the app where those controls are available.
WHO WE ARE
Credo Sports provides digital strength, conditioning, running, performance testing, workout logging, recovery and AI-assisted coaching features.
For personal information that Credo Sports itself processes, Credo Sports is responsible for determining how and why that information is used.
Privacy questions, including requests to withdraw consent where applicable, can be sent to: [email protected]
NO CREDO ACCOUNT
Credo does not currently require you to create a Credo Sports user account.
There is no Credo username, password or online account containing your training history.
Your normal workout and training information is instead primarily stored locally within the app on your device.
CURRENT SETUP
INFORMATION USED BY CREDO
TRAINING
This may include programmes, exercises, sets, repetitions, loads, completed sessions, training history and progression information.
PREFERENCES
This may include your training goals, experience, available equipment, preferred training type, session frequency and available training days.
TESTING
This may include strength, power, running or other performance-test results that you enter or generate through Credo.
RECOVERY
If you choose to use check-ins, this may include information you provide about sleep, soreness, fatigue, recovery, readiness and perceived performance.
COACH
If you use AI Coach, Credo processes the messages you choose to send and relevant training information needed to provide a useful response.
TECHNICAL
Limited device, app, diagnostic or technical information may be processed where necessary to operate, secure, troubleshoot and improve Credo.
LOCAL STORAGE
Credo is currently designed so that your normal training history is stored locally on your device rather than in a Credo Sports online user account.
Generated or selected training programmes can be stored locally so the app can display your training.
Sets, repetitions, loads and completed workouts can be stored locally to maintain your training history.
Testing results and performance information can be stored locally to show progress over time.
Check-in and recovery information can be stored locally so Credo can use it within relevant features.
Credo does not currently maintain a cloud-based account containing your complete training history.
Information may leave your device when a feature needs an external service, such as AI Coach, subscriptions or support.
HOW INFORMATION IS USED
PROGRAMMING
Credo can use your goals, preferences, availability and training information to generate and manage appropriate training programmes.
PROGRESS
Logged workouts and performance information can be used to show progression and previous results.
COACHING
Relevant training and recovery information can be used to provide post-session feedback, check-in responses and coaching guidance.
SUPPORT
Information you send directly to Credo may be used to answer questions, investigate problems and provide customer support.
RELIABILITY
Technical information may be used to diagnose errors, maintain security and improve app reliability.
LEGAL
Information may be processed where reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law or protect the rights and security of Credo and its users.
AI COACH
Credo uses artificial intelligence technology to support selected coaching and feedback features.
When you use an AI-powered feature, information relevant to that request may be securely transmitted from Credo to a third-party AI technology provider so that a response can be generated.
Depending on the feature, this may include information such as your recent workout performance, programme, training goals, test results, check-in or recovery information and the message you send to AI Coach.
Credo aims to provide only information reasonably necessary for the relevant coaching interaction. Using AI Coach does not give the AI provider general access to your device or unrelated information stored on your phone.
AI-SUPPORTED FEATURES
AI may support training feedback and interpretation, but Credo is a fitness service and not a medical service.
AI can interpret relevant information from a completed training session and provide concise feedback.
AI can consider relevant check-in information when providing training and recovery guidance.
AI Coach can respond to questions you choose to submit about your training.
AI Coach is not designed to diagnose, treat or prevent medical conditions.
AI-generated information can occasionally be incomplete or inaccurate and should be treated as training guidance.
Credo does not use AI Coach to make decisions intended to have legal or similarly significant effects on you.
HEALTH & RECOVERY INFORMATION
Information about areas such as soreness, fatigue, sleep, recovery or other physical-health information may in some circumstances constitute health data under UK data protection law.
Where Credo processes information that qualifies as special-category health data in a way that requires explicit consent, Credo will obtain that consent before carrying out the relevant processing.
You may withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. This may mean that a feature relying on that information can no longer operate in the same way.
Credo does not currently provide active menstrual-cycle tracking.
INFORMATION YOU CHOOSE TO SHARE
Some Credo features may allow you to enter free-text information or communicate directly with AI Coach or Credo support.
Please avoid entering unnecessary medical information, financial information, passwords or other highly sensitive personal information.
Information you voluntarily provide will be handled in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
SUBSCRIPTIONS & PAYMENTS
Credo does not need to collect or store your full payment-card details for an App Store subscription.
Where you purchase Credo through Apple's App Store, payment and billing are handled by Apple under Apple's own terms and privacy practices.
Credo may receive information needed to determine whether you have an active subscription or entitlement to paid features.
PAYMENT INFORMATION
SERVICE PROVIDERS
Credo may use carefully selected third-party service providers where required to operate particular features.
These may include providers supporting AI processing, app distribution, subscription management, technical infrastructure, diagnostics or customer support.
Information is only shared where reasonably necessary for the relevant service or where disclosure is otherwise required by law.
Relevant training information and messages are sent to OpenAI when you use AI Coach features, so that a response can be generated.
Apple provides App Store distribution, subscription and payment services for the iOS app.
Credo may use providers required for secure app, website, diagnostic or infrastructure functions.
INTERNATIONAL PROCESSING
Some third-party technology providers may process information outside the United Kingdom.
Where personal information is transferred internationally, Credo will take appropriate steps to ensure that the transfer is permitted under applicable data protection law and that suitable safeguards are used where required.
WHY WE CAN USE INFORMATION
SERVICE
Where personal information must be processed to provide a service you have requested, processing may be necessary for the performance of a contract with you.
CONSENT
Where processing relies on consent, you will be given an appropriate choice and may withdraw that consent.
LEGITIMATE INTERESTS
Credo may rely on legitimate interests for limited activities such as maintaining security, resolving technical issues and protecting the service, where those interests do not override your rights.
LEGAL
Information may also be processed where necessary to comply with an applicable legal obligation.
DELETING YOUR DATA
Credo does not currently operate a Credo Sports user-account system, so there is no separate online Credo account that needs to be deleted.
Training information stored locally can be removed using available app controls. Removing the Credo app from your device will ordinarily remove the application's locally stored information from that device.
Copies may remain temporarily within device or platform backups that are controlled by your device or platform provider rather than by Credo Sports.
Information previously transmitted to an external service, such as information required to generate an AI Coach response, is subject to the retention rules applying to that processing and the relevant service provider.
IMPORTANT
Removing the Credo app or deleting locally stored training information does not automatically cancel an active Apple App Store subscription.
App Store subscriptions must be managed or cancelled through your Apple subscription settings.
RETENTION & SECURITY
LOCAL DATA
Normal training information stored locally remains available on your device until you remove it, reset relevant app data or remove the app, subject to device or platform backup behaviour.
EXTERNAL DATA
Where Credo or a service provider processes personal information outside local storage, it should be retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for the relevant purpose and applicable legal obligations.
SECURITY
Credo uses reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal information processed through the service.
REALITY
No digital service or transmission method can guarantee absolute security, but protecting user information remains an important responsibility.
YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS
UK data protection law may give you rights in relation to personal information that Credo Sports processes about you.
You may ask whether Credo holds personal information about you and request a copy where applicable.
You may ask for inaccurate personal information held by Credo to be corrected.
You may ask Credo to delete personal information it holds about you where the right to deletion applies.
In some circumstances you may ask Credo to restrict how personal information is processed.
In some circumstances you may object to particular processing of your personal information.
Where applicable, you may have the right to receive certain personal information in a portable format.
Where Credo relies on your consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time.
You may raise concerns with the UK Information Commissioner's Office if you believe your data protection rights have been infringed.
A NOTE ABOUT LOCAL DATA
Because much of your training information is stored only on your own device, Credo Sports may not possess a copy of that information.
A privacy request sent to Credo can therefore apply only to personal information that Credo itself or a provider acting on Credo's behalf actually processes or retains.
You remain able to control locally stored information through your device and available Credo app controls.
CHILDREN
Credo is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children where doing so would not be permitted under applicable law.
If we become aware that personal information has been collected from a child in circumstances where it should not have been collected, we will take appropriate steps.
WEBSITE PRIVACY
The Credo Sports website may process limited technical information necessary to deliver, maintain and secure the website.
The website does not currently use your personal information for third-party behavioural advertising.
If Credo later introduces non-essential analytics, advertising cookies, marketing technology or other tracking requiring consent, this Privacy Policy and any required cookie controls will be updated.
YOUR DATA IS NOT A PRODUCT
Credo Sports does not sell or rent your personal information to advertisers or data brokers.
Personal information is not used to build third-party advertising profiles about you.
CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy as Credo Sports develops or where legal, technical or operational requirements change.
If we make significant changes to how personal information is used, we will take reasonable steps to bring those changes to users' attention where appropriate.
The latest version of this Privacy Policy will always display its most recent update date.
